The Web Design Specialist will be responsible for creating and maintaining robust online web assets for the Institute's users, advocacy and education initiatives. The Nonprofit Web Design Specialist will develop and deploy custom Webflow pages, mobile-friendly web experiences, and more. This position requires strong attention to detail and a deep understanding of both website design and user experience.

What you can expect to do in this position:

• Take new page requests from within the company and execute drafts, provide revisions, and finally deploy a final published version live on the internet.
• Triage bug reports and fix minor design issues or relay larger issues to the team for discussion.
• Assist in building out larger projects, such as multi-page experiences or one time event pages.
• Test cross-browser compatibility and ensure web performance, SEO and analytics.
• Over time, create documentation and expand style guides in collaboration with the Marketing department.
• Monitor website performance and maintain security of content and data, as needed

Quantitative managers are individuals who are mainly responsible for using quantitative methods to make sound and practical financial decisions for YIP.

Along with the ability to use methods to assess impact, the quantitative manager will assist the head of development on impact-related projects as needed.

Grant writers are the individuals who are mainly responsible for researching grant opportunities and proposing ones that align with the goals and mission of the Institute.

Along with researching opportunities, they are also responsible for drafting grant proposals and submitting reports to the fundraising director and head of development for approval.

Applicants should be able to collaborate and deliberate in team settings. They should also have a strong grasp of the various political ideologies as well as how to identify the fundamentals of those beliefs.

The Social Media Manager will be responsible for creating graphics and designs to promote and support department projects while also operating various social media accounts.

Interns will be illustrating and creating graphics for a non-partisan high school civics curriculum, which will assist in students' understanding and comprehension of the material. Interns will typically work 5 hours a week, split between a weekly team meeting and individual work on the curriculum itself.

The role of the Human Resources Department within the Institute will be to regulate all matters pertaining to hiring, training, discharge, policy enforcement, and internal member management & support.

Central HR Officers will be working with the CHRO and C-suite leaders. In this capacity, you will have a large amount of freedom and lateral to make decisions. You will effectively be ensuring the systems that propel the organization runs smoothly. This can include database management, conflict resolution, onboarding/termination/hiring procedures, SOP compliance, event/workshop coordination, and even soft skill training. If you want direct experience in an organization's administrative and backend functionality, this is the job for you.

HR Liaison Officers  will have the opportunity to work directly with our impact teams. You will be attached to a Senior VP, VP, or Director in our impact departments to operate as the personnel manager and authority on HR matters. In this capacity, you will have a large amount of freedom and lateral to make decisions. As such strong leadership, communication, and creative problem solving is a must for this position.  

Outreach Coordinators will be working to direct the outreach and communication sector of the YIP International Essay Contest. Individuals would be responsible for reaching out to academic institutions and/or corporate entities while engaging in productive communication with other team members. It’s expected that Outreach Coordinators will spend around 10 hours a week divided into team brainstorming and working on individual tasks pertinent to networking and communication strategy.

Logistics Coordinators will be working to streamline the outreach and execution of the YIP International Essay Contest. Individuals would be responsible for the strategic planning and management of the contest while engaging in productive communication with other team members. It’s expected that Logistics Coordinators will spend around 5 hours a week divided into team communication and working on individual tasks pertinent to contest logistics.
